Its that time of the year again and whether you’re going to sunnier climes abroad, holidaying in Blighty or having a weekend away, you need to make sure you’re packing for every eventuality.
Let’s start with your swimsuit.Get yourself a stand-out one pice which can double up by being worn with a skirt or pair or trousers /jeans for day/evening wear and another one for some serious swim time -If you can wear a bikini go for it ! Bikini shopping can be a bit daunting but there will be one for you out there , be it a high waisted retro inspired type or one of the many skimpier ones allowing you get as much of a tan as is possible! On that note packing your sun protection is an absolute must !! Be religious about it – I use a clarins SPF 50 on my face 365 days a year , it’s part of my daily skincare routine and has been for years. A decent pair of Sunglasses to protect your peepers is an essential and a lip balm with SPF is also a good idea , don’t forget to protect your hair to help stop it drying out in the sea/sun.Take ( or buy when you’re there) a decent straw sun hat and check out Philip Kingsleys range of hair products which are available from Marks and Spencer – his Elasticizer is an amazing product, guaranteed to rescue even the most parched of hair!
A sundress will take you from beach to bar with ease as will floaty cover ups .Bold colourful prints are everywhere at the moment so adding a couple of dresses and some slightly longer shorts sporting these designs along with a pair of strappy sandals will ensure you’re good to go for an evening out .
You’ll also need a clutch bag for evening and a larger straw bag for the beach and/or during the day.
There are some fantastic sandals available at the moment , whether it’s slip- ons ,slides or embellished sling backs , there are plenty to choose from to add to your holiday wardrobe.
All you need now is a fabulous beach towel (which will be the perfect backdrop for your sunbathing selfie) and something to pack it all in & you’re ready !!
